Glorious weather today; spent the morning in L√ľneburg eating freshly-made pasta and looking for travel books on Austria and Tuscany. Ended up buying a book called Blumen (which means flowers in English) and oh, beautiful photos on beautiful flowers!

This is a new group of focals I made yesturday. Quite pleased with them. More Mad Hatter's Garden and tree beads - these 'garden' beads now have red ladybirds on one side of the beads. Below photos show both sides of the beads, and there are all untitled at the moment.

I just can't complain even though it is freezing-butt (pardon my expression, if you should deem it offensive) early in the mornings. This morning, it was 1°C (33°F) and now it's 13°C (55°F) in the early afternoon. Beautiful air and weather - this is very uplifting and has definitely put me in a very happy and natural-high mood. Some new focals I made yesturday and yes, I am decidedly more than satisfied with them!

Let's start off with my favorite theme, a butterfly bead. This butterfly is drawn with its wings spanned across the front and back of the bead, with its body at the 'edge' of the bead. Actually, there's no real front or back of the bead, both sides can be used as front or back and if you look at one of the sides (see below photos), it looks like an abstract motif.

Ok, I have to be thick-skinned here, I love this below bead! It's like the closing credits of Alice in Wonderland, where the flowers grew and grew and grew!! Hey, some of us just don't want to grow up!!

Yes, I love this time of the year!! Spring is when you can wear comfy and thinner outfits, no more thick coats, woolen scarves or pullovers, no more thick soaks - yeah, I can see my toes again!! Some of us would also take this opportunity to dry our laundry outdoors. Talking about that, here's a fella who believes in air-drying too, though I'd personally prefer drying my laundry outdoors than how's he doing it. Captured this photo on Sunday in Hamburg; what do you think? Definitely, a bachelor's pad, eh?!

I've more or less began building my inventory for the Bead & Button Show in June. In a way, I love events, they allow me to indulge in one style or color combo till fully exhausted and then, I can move on with the next style, again till fully-exhausted. This year, I hope to have between 5-8 different styles/techniques to bring with me to Milwaukee. Here's what I have been doing the past days:

part Bedrock series, part Palm series
Purple with ivory  motifs
each bead measures18x19mm

Bedrock series
these beads are my latest craze, have a Flintstone-look (well, to me!)
each bead measures 18x19mm

measures 227mm in diamater
