I have made more beads based on Deep Summer and would like to share it with you. I probably will not be torching for a few days as I will be taking tap dancing workshops throughout the weekend, beginning tonight! I am so excited about it - Steven Harper is in Germany to teach the classes. Nope, guys, I'm not talking about Stephen Harper from Canada!! Steven is half German and half American and moved to Brazil in the early 90s after teaching a tap dancing workshop there. I am so looking forward to this great treat!!

The first two photos show the same bead, only different views. From the 3rd photo onwards, they are all different beads.

And yes, I had to make a set using the same theme - here's the first set:

Have a good weekend! I shall be back with more such sets of Deep Summer!!

I managed to find several out-of-print books by Gwen Bristow which I had read long time ago. A pity that such great books are no longer in print. I started reading 'Deep Summer' a few days ago and have been so inspired by the book that I have made a series of focal beads which I'd like to share with you - these focals are quite large, with the largest measuring 6.5cm (2.5") in length and the smallest measuring 4cm (1.5"). All except the last focal have abstract designs on them and are very colorful.

Here's a new set (lentil-shaped) as well though not based on 'Deep Summer' but on marine life.

This below set is made of round beads, also a marine life theme - now presently on Ebay -

And last but not least, a series of black and white disc beads, also currently on Ebay -
