SETTLING BACK INTO REAL LIFE

Last weekend was a luxurious time for me which was spent in Düsseldorf, taking tap dancing workshops and watching three nights of tap dancing by international and world class tap dancers such as Barbara Duffy, Heather Cornell, Steven Harper, Roser Font, Guillem Alonso, Sabine Hasicka, Pia Neises and Andreas Dänel. It was definitely a rare treat for me to be away from my studio for 5-6 days, especially it's another month before the Bead & Button 2008.

Yes, now it's back to a 'normal' routine which consists of almost 24/7 studio time. Can't complain though, I simply love working in my studio!

Some of you have been asking me in April when I shall be posting more beads to sell on my website - which is undergoing an 'upgrade' to include direct Paypal transaction. It should be ready this week, I need to give it a test run before I upload new work on my website.

Still, I have some work to share with you. These floral focal beads were made about 2 weeks ago - I am very taken with Vetrofond's orange sherbet, as you'd probably gather by now:

FLORAL BEAD I
Orange Sherbet base with turquoise cane
Size: 4.9cm in length

FLORAL BEAD II
Orange sherbet base with cobalt blue cane
Size: 4cm in length

FLORAL BEAD III
Black base (thick clear encased) with orange sherbet/rubino oro/blue cane
Size: 3.8cm in length

FLORAL BEAD IV (view #1)
Black base with multi-colored canes
Size: 4.1cm in length

FLORAL BEAD IV (view #2)
Since I am using different colored canes in this bead, I have taken 2 angles of the same bead. Each flower has two tones of colored canes.

FLORAL BEAD V
This bead is shaped like a miniature vase.
Black Base with yellow colored cane
Size: 4.8cm in length

The f0llowing beads have been made this past week, they are meant for the Bead & Button 2008 Show. They have been strung together randomly and at the same time according to colors or designs. I totally enjoy making beads for any show, I can go nuts making one style in various colors, sizes, shapes, etc! As I make more beads of a particular series, I'll add them on to the strands. In case you're curious - yes, I am selling these beads before B&B! Just email me, if you'd like any of the beads.
